my name is katina, and i recently moved to boston, massachussetts, to pursue my creative career. since completing my bachelor's in 2010, i've lived and traveled in many parts of the world. first, i taught english for one year in taiwan - by far my most transformative experience to date. then i moved back to michigan, my home state, where i worked for customer satisfaction firm ForeSee. i learned a lot during my short time there, but knew i needed to resume my pursuit of something creative and preferably in travel. that's when Journeys International and i crossed paths, and thats when i realized travel marketing and writing are two things i love almost as much as traveling itself. while at Journeys, i figured out who i am and what i have to contribute to this great, big, awesome world. in december of 2014, i got the expat bug again so i picked up and moved to Germany for full cultural and language immersion. in just six months my German progressed from non-existent to fairly competent.
in between these exciting endeavors, i lived in northern italy for awhile and traveled extensively throughought europe and east asia. now, here i am, settled into my new east coast life and in search of my next passion job or project. i'm beyond thrilled to be here in boston, and i very much look forward to what's to come.
